Bio

Matt is a Michigan native born in Royal Oak. He played his youth career with Honeybaked AAA all the way until he entered juniors. His junior career consisted of time in the NAHL and the USHL. From there he moved on to 8 years of professional hockey. He spent time in the CHL, ECHL and the EIHL. After retiring, he was fortunate enough to stay in the game by starting his career in skill development by getting hired by Brandon Naurato. He and Brandon have been working together for 7 years now in the summer and throughout the year. Matt specializes in skating mechanics, blends, edges, and perfecting the stride. Through his business Skate to Create LLC. Matt has worked with youth all the way up to NHL players. He has served as the Skill Development Coach for the Flint Firebirds of the OHL and the Muskegan Lumberjacks of the USHL. Larke is currently the skills coach for the Seattle Kraken in the NHL.  Prior to working for the Kraken Larke was the skills coach for the US National Team Development Program (NTDP).
